Cambodia Highlights April 3: Crossing The Line

April 4: Here At Last April 5: Angkor Wat  April 6: Angkor What? April 7: Relaxing  April 8: Minefield   April 8: New Friends

April 3: Here we are at the Border Crossing to Cambodia. This is the third time I've come to this country but each time it was just to renew my Thai Visa. But I've heard so many great things about Siem Reap that I just had to check it out.

Finally we have our first look at Angkor Wat, 'The Mother Of All Temples'. These are the steps up to the central temple itself. Aw had no trouble scurrying up the temple steps but the only problem is...

A French film crew interviewed this man about the Land Mine Museum, while we were there. I actually never noticed the missing leg until I looked at this photo right now. The people who run the museum are all survivors of land mine explosions

Thais and Cambodians are from the same ancient race. Sukho Thai in Northern Thailand has many temples that are similar to the ones here in Cambodia. Aw's family is from this region in Thailand. I think there's a resemblance here. How about you?

Tonight we went for dinner on Pub Street; an upscale area where a lot of foreigners hang out. Our waitress is one of the students in training at a cooking school here. Isn't her face beautiful?
