Meet The Creatures  8 Below & My Huskies

 My Favorite Movies

I often find myself saying: "this is my favorite movie.  But then I remember all my other favorite movies.  So here's  the whole list.

2006 Movies I've Seen

Rating Out of ***** Five Stars

Firewall *** Fun but they could have done a lot more with it.

Eight Below **** Gripping story.  I wish Disney knew that animals aren't people though.

Capote **** Intense film.  Gives a great insight into a writer's method.

Schindler's List, Air Force One, They Might Be Giants, Armageddon, Out Of Africa,
These Movies Impacted My Life at the time.  I'm not sure I would call them my favorite Movies now.  But they meant a lot to me then...
  • Superman (The ad for this movie read: 'Friday, you'll believe a man can fly' and I did.)  Favorite line: "My mother lives in Haversack".  Luther shakes head to mean: 'Not any more'.

  • Rocky

  • The Karate Kid

  • Star Wars: The special affects in this movie were the best in history up to that time.  Lucas raised the bar and we've never looked back.  He also brought in the spiritual element through Owbeone Knowbe (an anagram for 'Know Be One')

  • Raiders Of The Lost Ark When I saw the trailer for this movie, I turned to my friend Diana and said: "Why are they ruining the movie by showing us all the action scenes in the promo?"  I only realized later that this was only the first scene in the movie.  Spielberg changed the action adventure movie for all time.

  • Close Encounters of the Third Kind: Finally, someone made a movie to explain why Aliens keep coming here.

  • Batman Begins
